The power’s out. Inexplicably. Bleh. That is all. My mom handed me a flashlight to use the bathroom, though, which was funny. #fb

And it just went out again…then back on. Seriously…make up your mind, soulless electricity grid… #thejoysoftechnology
RT @highceilings: Been awhile since music has moved me to actual tears, but new Elbow+NYC sunset got me today. Thanks 4 reminding me why …
My Music: Somedays →
Remember how I keep saying I’ve been wanting to post a cover or song or something by me that’s music-related for a while? Well, up until a few days ago, I hadn’t been able to get around to it….
RT @hansvon108: WTF OBAMA Y U ALL UP ON MY TV DURING JEOPARDY. I DID NOT VOTE YOU IN FOR THIS.
I’m also sad I had the chance to see that concert live & I couldn’t. Though I got to sing for the UT Gov. instead…so a good tradeoff. :)
I’m not sure, but I think my camera died. It’s been a trusty little thing, so I really hope this is not the case…
RT @andrewbelle: New concept. Make music for fun.
Singing along to a song like Dog Days Are Over is intense. But exhilarating.
Hey, remember when I said my bracket was dead? Well, now it’s REALLY dead. 0 PPR. My final 4 completely gone. Bleh. But whoa. :)
100
So I’ve reached 100 posts on this thing (well, my half-imported tweets really shouldn’t count, but oh well). My 100th post was about Aaron Sorkin and 30 Rock, and I’m quite surprised the world didn’t explode because of that. :) Still figuring out how to best use this. It may be sporadic reblogging, random out-of-context tweets, and occasional links to my WordPress blog yet...
If you're from UTAH, reblog this. I wanna follow...
(Insert Friday quote here). #itsfriday
Aaron Sorkin on #30Rock tonight…brilliant. Even better, the fact that it involved “The Sing-Off.” (“Studio 60!” “Shut up.”) #delayedtweet
It took about exactly 6 months for me to tweet 1,000 times. Whoa. Random fact: my 1000th tweet was about, gasp, Sarah blarfin’ Palin.
Newsweek: Wow. In Which Marie Claire Breaks Down... →

The Colbert Report Male writers: 16 Female writers: 1
The Late Show With David Letterman Male writers: 13 Female writers: 1
Lopez…
Wow. Sad, sad day…there are certainly enough talented female writers to go around. So hire...
Well, that was a bit of a letdown. Then again, I only watched like 5 minutes. :) Boo, hiss, Lakers. Boo, hiss. #gosuns
The moment ‘30 Rock’ gets canceled, I’m getting [Rachel Maddow’s] haircut
– Tina Fey [via nymag] (via today)
It should never, ever, EVER get canceled. But when it does, this will certainly ease the blow. :)
RT @rockn_robin013: #BYU v #Gonzaga. Go Cougars! We love #Jimmer! #marchmadness
In fact, he should pretty much be nominated for every score he ever does. Ever. The end. :)
Artist Spotlight: Ellie Goulding →
Before I post a new Artist Spotlight (you’ll really love this one), another reminder to VOTE in Harmony Avenue’s Best Original Movie Song contest. So far there’s only 2 votes on the poll…so yeah, we…
Oh, and of course As Time Goes By. They used to show that on our PBS station the same time as Keeping Up Appearances, and I liked it.
I still really want to see Arthur. Even if it’s not about a charming 8-year-old talking aardvark…
And to think I was just watching this on TV. To have seen that live…I probably could have just died right there in the arena. :D
Dear throat/nose: Please stop having problems. I mean, c’mon. You both know you can do better. Love, Brandon.
Also, my sister is watching Criminal Minds right now, and as usual, it’s flippin’ depressing. Crime shows bring me down…
Let’s Go To The Movies! http://wp.me/p19uKQ-35
God bless the people of Japan. They definitely need a lot of hope right now… #prayforjapan
And The Nominees Are… →
So 2010 had a bad year in film music, eh? I beg to differ. Make sure to read the post right before this one for explanation of the rules/all that jazz. Here are full video and/or sound clips for all…
Speaking as a diehard non-fan of Adam, I have to admit that performance wasn’t too bad. The acoustic setting works well for him. #idol
(Ryan T. Murphy the associate director of MoTab, not the TV guy associated with Glee and the like, btw.)
Why yes, I just turned to PBS even though they paused for a pledge push, because I don’t care for Diddy. Or rap. And I’m proud of it. :)
I loved Naima’s energy. Stefano’s arr. was hit-and-miss, but great vocals. I still love Paul. Haley wasn’t horrible. Everyone else…hmmm.
(P.S.: I meant “stoned” as in “figurative rocks thrown at them via the customer reviews, plus lower sales to boot,” not as in “on drugs.”)
Not quite sure why I said “P.S.” there. Maybe to ease the transition from midtempo soul/R&B to stunning British alt rock? :)
And although it’s 3:16 AM right now…a very happy #internationalwomensday to all the women in the world. Y’all rock. :)
So I have a job now. I start on Wednesday. #whoa #fb
Sundays are wonderful. Simply loverly. :) #fb
It’s Platypus Day. Which is completely awesome. Happy Platypus Day, everyone! :) #fb
Haley and Rachel…this year’s Paige and Lilly. Sigh…I’m not quite digging this. #idol
My reaction to Kendra’s wildcard song: Guttural “YEAH!” Put. That. Girl. Through. NOW. #idol
Just found out Ingrid Michaelson & Greg Laswell are getting married. Which is AWESOME. Future music super-couple, yo.
Song of the Day: “Helplessness Blues” →
So I actually was planning for another Song of the Day, but I couldn’t find a simple way to share it directly on this site, as I always do. That means another outstanding song will have to do…
…
Did Randy just fess up to his name dropping habit??? Only took 10 seasons… :) #idol
Overall, better than last night, I would say. Apologies for my double “nice job” earlier, btw. #idol
Hmmm...
So this Tumblr is still kind of nonsense. Ask me questions! Or something.
So Moon-Blossom, I understand you were raised on a hippie commune off the grid...

I think I actually liked Jacob. Good song choice, and he reined it in a bit. It just worked. #idol
